A political brawl pitting Kiambu Jubilee Party aspirants is brewing after it emerged that Senator Kimani Wamatangi’s photo has been omitted in the JP billboards erected across the county.

The alleged omission is now threatening to tear apart the Jubilee team led by governor hopeful Ferdinand Waititu.

Wamatangi’s supporters are now reading sinister motives in the omission on campaign billboards that have Waititu, Woman Representative aspirant Muthoni Wa Muchomba, Thika MP Alice Nga’ng’a , Kiambu’s Jude Njomo and Gatundu South Moses Kuria among others.

A section of supporters are alleging a ploy to undermine Wamatangi’s senatorial bid in the August 8 polls.

Senator Wamatangi is seeking re-election and narrowly won the Jubilee Party ticket in the nomination.

He beat Ngewa MCA Karungo Wa Thang’wa who was in Waititu’s camp before the party primaries.Wamatangi has however downplayed any suspicion between him and other JP candidates. The senator says that they are committed and working towards delivering over 1.2 Million votes to President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 polls.“Let’s not discuss billboards because it’s a non-issue, our agenda is to ensure UhuRuto’s re-election on August 8,” he said on Sunday.
