Kenyan international striker Jesse Were has extended his stay at Zambian club Zesco United for another two years.

The club confirmed the contract extension through their official Facebook page on Friday.

Were’s initial contract at Zesco was set to expire in December this year.

Were contract extension comes after the club allowed his striker partner Idriss Mbombo to leave for Saudi Arabia in a reported Sh25 million deal.

He was replaced by Ugandan forward David Isabirye.
