Watangula noted that the prices of basic commodities under the Jubilee administration had shot up by more that 100 percent, adding it is a NASA government that will be able to revert this situation.

"When you are asked why Jubilee should be sent packing, it is simple, when Jubilee came to power, a packet of flour was ksh60 but as we speak a packet of flour is between Ksh 150 and Ksh160. That is the kind of government we have," he said.

"We as NASA have come together not to make one of us a president but to save this country. We want our country to get back to how it was," he added.

The minority leader in the senate also insisted that the Jubilee administration had misplaced priorities and need to solve the hunger and security stalemate in the country as a first priority.

"It is laughable to see a government struggling to give children in schools laptops while they and their parents are dying of hunger," he said

"A country that is not able to feed its people should not be referred to as a country. A country that cannot provide security to its people should not be referred to as a country," he added.

Wetangula made this remarks on Saturday in Eldoret during NASA's first rally.
