West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi has dismissed claims that he wrote of Raila Odinga's possibility of being president.

According to the local media, Kemosi, a first time Ford Kenya MP, challenged Raila to drop his tough stand President Uhuru's reelection on grounds that elections were over.

But in a rejoinder, Kemosi said his remarks targets pushing for dialogue which he says will pave way for electoral justice.

"I must have been quoted out of context but I want to insist that I am only for dialogue," he told reporters.

He further said: "For us to achieve electoral justice, there must be dialogue and this should not be interpreted as saying Raila will not be president."

On demonstrations, Kemosi said police should restrain from using excessive force adding that innocent lives ought to be protected.
