Your presence in their lives is important than you might realize. You should set time and be available for your kids, they need to know you as a person and connect with you besides being the one who pays their fees and brings food to the table.
Learn to keep your promises to your children, a lot if times, kids will not have the capacity to understand, they will probably get angry and not forget that you have failed them and for this reason, make promises that you can keep. Don’t get them excited and then disappoint them.
As a dad, its important to make sure that you maintain a good relationship with their mum, they should never see you arguing or laying a hand on their mother, if you do that, they will not respect you and will grow cold on you, try as much as possible to maintain a healthy relationship with their mum.
