Former IEBC commissioner Roselyn Akombe who unceremoniously resigned on Wednesday morning has revealed why she 'secretly' left her post at the Aniiversary Towers.

Speaking to NTV from New Jersy, USA hours after her resignation that shocked the nation, Akombe laid bare some of the reasons that led to her decision.

Akombe said she has been finding it difficult to quit after being frustrated whenever she planned to leave the country, sighting the August incident where she was blocked by police at the JKIA.

The immediate commissioner claimed the working conditions at IEBC are not friendly and after the death of former ICT boss Chris Msando, they have never been at peace.

Akombe also claimed that the recommendations they were making were not being considered and thought it will not be fair nor proper to have polls without NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga taking part.
