Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka did not attend National Super Alliance (NASA) rallies in Vihiga County on Saturday because he had travelled to Nairobi to attend to some pending issues, Kenyans.co.ke has reported. Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho was also not part of the rallies.

Joho was observing the holy month of Ramadhan forcing him to stay away from the rallies as the opposition seeks for support to dethrone President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto from power in August.

“Joho ako Ramadhan ndio maana hakuweza kuwa nasi( Joho could not join us today because he is observing the holy month of Ramadhan,” Mudavadi told the Jubilant supporters.

The NASA tour in the regions come at time when both the opposition and ruling party have intensified their campaigns in different parts of the nation on vote haunt mission. The two political movements have been asking Kenyans to back their leadership with promises to make life better for them.

Jubilee wants another term to complete the projects started four years ago while opposition has pledged to correct the mistakes made by the current regime. Both President Kenyatta and Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga are contesting for their last term if they keep their word.
