NASA leaders and presidential campaign team has been advised to stop campaigns, ahead of the October 17, fresh presidential election.
Instead, immediate Nairobi County Governor Dr Evans Kidero, said Nasa should be concentrating on ensuring that the CEO at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Ezra Chiloba, exists the polls body.
Nasa, led by presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his three co-principals, have been calling for removal dismissal and charging of Chiloba, saying he was party to a bungled August 8 election, where the Supreme Court nullified presidential election.
Kidero said IEBC had declined to discipline Chiloba and his team, and that they would once again be part of officers who would conduct the fresh presidential election.
"I would advise Nasa leaders to stop campaigning and concentrate on ensuring Chiloba is punished. We don't want to go to another election with him after what he did in the past election," said Kidero, who lost to Jubilee Party's Mike Sonko, in the election.
Speaking at Kamukunji Grounds in Kibra, Monday, several leaders echoed Kidero, saying Nasa would boycott the election, if Chiloba continues to serve at IEBC.
