Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi, says there is no need for him to campaign for NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, ahead of the October 17 presidential election.
The ODM governor indicated his party leader was already a brand, not only in his county but across the country, hence no need for him to ask residents to vote for him.
"There is no need for campaigns. Welcoming Raila to Kilifi is like welcoming a bishop for salvation. We know how our game is played. We are just waiting for the election date to come and vote like we did before," Kingi said, during a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Kilifi Hospital Complex, Tuesday.
According to him, campaigns done before the August 8 general election were enough for Raila to send home President Uhuru Kenyatta in the fresh polls.
Kingi who secured his second term bid, asked Nasa rivals, Jubilee Party to go round and popularise themselves so as to face Odinga.
Kingi was speaking in Kilifi town.
