Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu can now breathe easy after the County Assembly yesterday approved her list of eight nominees to the County Executive Committee (CEC) posts in its entirety.

The approval report was tabled before the Assembly by the Minority Leader John Kisangau who said the house deemed it prudent to wholesomely endorse the appointments to pave way for implementation of Ngilu’s ambitious development agenda for the residents.

They include Mary Nguli for County Treasury, Rosaita Ngina (Health and Sanitation), Emmanuel Kisangau (Agriculture and Water), David Kivoto (Education and ICT) and Philip Mumo (Trade and Co-operatives).

Others are Land and Infrastructure department's Jacob Maundu, John Makau (Environment and Natural Resources) and Patrick Musau for Tourism and Sports.

The report was adopted after receiving secondment from the County Assembly’s Leader of Majority Peter Kilonzo, who is also the MCA for Athi Ward.

The CEC nominees will be sworn into office next week, according the County Communication and PR office.
