A section of Kiambu County Youths from Lari Constituency have come up with an entrepreneurship club fully owned and managed by the young people.

Speaking during the club’s official launch at Lari CDF office, Joseph Wainaina who is the acting Chairman of the club said that Kiambu youths will not be dragging back again in sustaining themselves, adding that it is high time youths started owning businesses of their own.

According to Wainaina, the club does not limit anybody’s idea, “If you have any small idea, talent, an existing business, just come to us and we will not send you away. Whatever ideas you have ‘gold’,” said Chairman Wainaina. 

Lari MP Kahangara greatly welcomed the move and encouraged young people to embrace the club and reap more through such initiatives.

He as well expressed the importance of forming groups and being vigilant to identity unexplored business opportunities.

Kahangara also said the level of unemployment in the country is at the peak advising that self-employment is one of the ways to save many youths who are unemployed.
