Mombasa hosts street fitness festival

Mombasa is set host a street fitness festival that will run for three days.

The event is aimed at promoting awareness about the numerous advantages of regular exercise and physical activity.

It is also aimed at promoting sports tourism in the region through fitness.

The event, dubbed Fort Jesus Fitness Festival and Expo 2016 will commence on December 17, 2017.

On the first day, we will have fitness activities coupled with Mr Pwani bodybuilding and bikini championship finals, which will be held at new Samba Sports Bar in Bamburi.

Day two is reserved for touring Mombasa’s famed historical sites such as the Moi Avenue elephant tusks, Mama Ngina Drive, Butterfly Pavilion, the Public and Swahili Cultural Centre.

Local adults and children will pay Sh200 and Sh100 respectively, while East Africans will part with Sh400 and foreigners Sh1200.
